World Champships 2016

2016-wm-hor-colThe 2016 World Championships take place in 2 of the biggest hockey cities in Europe. Moscow and St Petersberg are at the centre of the KHL world in many ways with SKA from St Petersberg and Dynamo Moscow 2 of the powerhouses from the Soviet era.

The World Championships follow the same format as previous years with 2 groups playing in a round robin and the top 4 in each progressing to the knockout phase whilst the bottom side in each are relegated.

Neil has written on ice hockey for many websites concentrating on British ice hockey mostly. Neil also covers ice hockey in other countries and organises his Blueliner Hockey Tour. A graduate of the Manchester Metropolitan University Neil turned his hand to hockey writing in 2009.
