WOMENS: league round up for 21-22 January

ih4gGB sniper Leanne Ganney scored 2+1 on her return from injury as Bracknell Queen Bees defeated Kingston Diamonds 3-0 to open a four point gap at the top of the Elite League table.

Second placed Solihull Vixens were beaten 7-3 at home by Guildford Lightning.  Charmaine Easton and Jordan Wilshire each scored twice in a huge road win for the Surrey club.

In Womens Division 1 North, skater-turned-goalie Rachel Rawson made 39 saves as Sheffield Shadows picked up a 4-2 win at Solway Sharks.  Alison Brain scored twice at Dumfries for the Shadows.

Another stellar goalie show came at IAW where Gemma Davies turned away 67 of 68 shots to give Cardiff Comets a 2-1 cup win over Basingstoke Bison Ladies.  Caitlyn Sterry’s powerplay goal ten minutes from time was the game-winner.

There were no games this past weekend in the Womens Premier League where Chelmsford Cobras lead the table by a point from Streatham Storm.
