Will Stars Survive? Find out on BBC Radio Oxford

The fate of Oxford City Stars will be decided at London Raiders vs Cardiff Devils on Saturday, and Stars fans will be able to listen in to live commentary courtesy of BBC Oxford.

The Stars have finished their season and know that if Cardiff fail to win, Oxford will avoid relegation and play in NIHL1 next season.  If Cardiff beat London, Cardiff will stay up and Oxford will be relegated
to NIHL2.

BBC Oxford also broadcast the Stars game at Cardiff last Saturday live online and on DAB digital radio and the live commentary on Saturday will come from Andrew ‘Selfy’ Self.

Richard Carpenter, Club Secretary of the Oxford City Stars commented, “We’re so fortunate to have such amazing media partners in the county and BBC Radio Oxford have shown their commitment to local sport time and again this season. Saturday will be different for sure at a game that the Stars aren’t playing but the result is crucial. For me, it seems very appropriate that Selfy, the man who called the game that saw Oxford go up is the man to tell us all if Oxford are staying up in NIHL1”

Coverage of the game begins at 5:20pm on Saturday and fans can listen in by visiting bbc.co.uk/oxford or tuning into BBC Radio Oxford on 95.2FM or on DAB Digital Radio as part of Saturday Sport.
