Wild Travel To Face Coventry NIHL Blaze On Saturday

The YKK-sponsored Widnes Wild will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of the Laidler Division table when they travel to Coventry to play the NIHL Blaze for the first time this season on Saturday 27th October.

The Blaze have had a mixed start to the season, losing 3 of the their 6 games to date but winning the other three – including an impressive 5-2 win over the, at the time, league leaders Bradford Bulldogs earlier in the month.

Coventry’s leading points scorer this season so far is Philip Mulcahy who has played for the past two seasons in the Moralee Division with Solihull Barons and Blackburn Hawks and will be a player to watch out for on Saturday.

The game is scheduled to face off at 7.15pm but that is still to be confirmed so supporters are advised to check before setting off.

The Wild were supposed to be playing Deeside Dragons at Planet Ice Widnes on Sunday but that game has been postponed and will be re-arranged for a future date.

The next match after Saturday will the following Sunday 4th November when the Altrincham Aces will be the visitors to Planet Ice Widnes. Face off is at 5.30pm and doors open at 4.45.
