Welcome back Moorey:
Solway Sharks are delighted to welcome Steven Moore back for his seventh full season with the club.
Despite his near veteran status now, Moore is still only 25, and provides a big spark at the offensive end of the ice and especially on the penalty kill.
Last year was his most proficient offensive season to date with 52 points (18+34) in 39 league and cup games. The Ayr-born …forward has almost 250 points for the Sharks since his first appearance in 2011-12 season.
A trophy winner throughout his time at the Ice Bowl, Moore brings an energy to the lineup and is a firm fan favourite.
Coach Martin Grubb welcomed Moore back to the team saying: “Moorey is always one of the first guys we talk to about coming back as his energy, positivity and work rate are key to our team.
“He had a great year with his point production last season and we will be looking at him to continue with that and try and improve that. He gives us so many options with his speed, skill and smartness and has become our go to guy on the PK.
“We are delighted he’s back and I’m sure his team mates and the supporters will feel the same.”
Moore added: “I’m happy to be back with Solway again. I’m quite settled here and enjoy it.
“Last season ended in disappointment, this year we will have to improve if we want to win anything.
“Talking to Martin I can see he wants to win and improve on last season so I’m excited to get started!”
