Weekend Preview – Week 9
After a bad weekend at the office last time out the Bracknell Bees will be looking to rebound and get their season back on track this weekend. It starts with a trip along the M3 to face their historic local rivals, the Basingstoke Bison (faceoff 6.30pm) before returning home to the Hive on Sunday to face the Telford Tigers (faceoff 6pm).
Games between the Bees and Basingstoke have been close fought, tight affairs this season, the Bison however have been on a bit of a hot streak recently so the Bees will need to get back to the form of a couple of weekends ago to challenge this Bison on their home ice.
The Bees are yet to face the Telford Tigers this season either at the Hive or on the road so new faces to the Hive this weekend.  The Tigers have recently made three impressive new signings off the back of new ownership injecting both impetus and cash into the side.  They will be an interesting proposition for a Bees side looking to get their home form back again after last weekend.
For those that don’t already know as well as the Supporters Club desk in the foyer there is also a Supporters Club sales kiosk at the back of Block 5 (opposite the bar) which stocks a range of merchandise including the new range of T-Shirts and the Bees replica Cup (Yellow) jerseys.  They also have taken delivery of scarf’s, umbrellas, thermos mugs, ice scrapers and more just in time as the weather has already started to change! Also new in are Lanyards for your season tickets (price at £2.50 each) and they also have a hole punch available for the season tickets too if you wish to borrow it.  The Supporters Club can now also take card payments at the kiosk too J
The 50/50 raffle and Shirt off a Back raffle both return this weekend.  Also the Player signing table returns post game too.  The Shirt Off a Back raffle this Sunday is for Bees forward Chris Wiggins shirt – straight off his back at the end of the game!  The signing table will also be manned by Chris and he will be joined by Bees forwards Kamil Tvrdek & Grant Rounding so make sure you pop along to the family bar, above the home dressing room, after the game.
Don’t forget that the official match night programme has also undergone a bit of a revamp and “The Buzz†will be available at Saturdays game (priced at £2.50 and in full colour throughout) – make sure you pick up your copy as the new look is proving popular.
