Weekend Preview – Week 5

After getting their second win of the season with a convincing home win over the Sheffield Steeldogs at The Hive last weekend the Bees will be looking to build on that result as they take on the Swindon Wildcats in an away and home double header weekend.

The two sides haven’t met yet this season but the Bees will be looking to continue their fine form against a Swindon side that they won six games out of six against last season.   It won’t be straightforward by any means however as the Wildcats currently sit fourth in the table having won four of their opening eight games.

Matches between the sides are usually feisty match ups that tend to end up with close scorelines.   With the Bees travelling to Swindon on Saturday (5.45pm faceoff) before returning to the Hive on Sunday for the second part of the double header Sunday game is sure to be one you don’t want to miss.

For those that don’t already know as well as the Supporters Club desk in the foyer there is also a Supporters Club sales kiosk at the back of Block 5 (opposite the bar) which stocks a range of merchandise including the new Bees replica Cup (Yellow) jerseys.   They also have taken delivery of scarf’s, umbrellas, thermos mugs, ice scrapers and more just in time as the weather has already started to change!  Also new in are Lanyards for your season tickets (price at £2.50 each) and they also have a hole punch available for the season tickets too if you wish to borrow it.   The Supporters Club can now also take card payments at the kiosk too J

HOT OFF THE PRESS – Also new in at the Supporters Club shop are a new range of T-Shirts, make sure you pop along and check them out!

The 50/50 raffle and Shirt off a Back raffle both return this weekend.   Also the Player signing table returns post game too.   The Shirt Off a Back raffle this Sunday is for Sam Oakford’s shirt – straight off his back at the end of the game!   The signing table will also be manned by Sam and he will be joined by forward Scott Spearing & netminder Alex Mettam so make sure you pop along to the family bar, above the home dressing room, after the game.

Don’t forget that the official match night programme has also undergone a bit of a revamp and “The Buzz” will be available at Saturdays game (priced at £2.50 and in full colour throughout) – make sure you pick up your copy as the new look is proving popular.

Hope to see you all there Loud & Proud!
