Weekend Preview – Week 20
The Bees are back in action this weekend starting with a road trip to face the Milton Keynes Lightning at their temporary home in Coventry (faceoff 7.30pm) before returning to the Hive on Sunday to face local rivals the Swindon Wildcats (faceoff 6pm).
The Lightning will be looking to avenge their defeat the last time the two sides met at the Hive only a couple of weeks ago.  On their last visit to Coventry to face the Lightning the Bees returned with a hard fought point on the road after an overtime loss and will be looking to keep their good form against Milton Keynes going.  Games between the sides are usually tight, tense affairs and with the Bees battling for a playoff spot they will need a solid road performance.
Sunday night the Bees return to the Hive to take on one of their local rivals the Swindon Wildcats, looking for their first points against them either home or away this season in three match ups.  The only other time the Wildcats have visited the Hive this season the game went into sudden death overtime and penalty shots, which the Wildcats eventually won. After a couple of disappointing results last weekend the Bees will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend and will hope to have the backing of another bumper crowd at the Hive.
The 50/50 raffle and Shirt off a Back raffle both return at Sunday evenings game against the Swindon Wildcats and the Player signing table returns post game too.
The Shirt Off a Back raffle is for young Bees forward James Galazzi’s shirt – straight off his back at the end of the game!  The signing table that night will also be manned by James and he will be joined by Bees forwards Ollie Bronnimann & Scott Spearing so make sure you pop along to the family bar, above the home dressing room, after the game.
Don’t forget that the official match night programme has also undergone a bit of a revamp and “The Buzz†will be available again (priced at £2.50 and in full colour throughout and packed with photos, match reports, articles etc..) – make sure you pick up your copy as the new look is proving popular.
For those that don’t already know as well as the Supporters Club desk in the foyer there is also a Supporters Club sales kiosk at the back of Block 5 (opposite the bar) which stocks a range of merchandise including the new range of T-Shirts and the Bees replica Cup (Yellow) jerseys.  They also have taken delivery of scarf’s, umbrellas, thermos mugs, ice scrapers and more just in time as the weather has already started to change! The Supporters Club can now also take card payments at the kiosk too. They have now also taken a delivery of replica Home and Away jerseys too!
