Weekend Preview – Week 2

The Bracknell Bees go into their second weekend of the season looking for their first points, but with match ups against two of last seasons top four league and playoff semi finalists things don’t get any easier.

The weekend starts with the Bees making the short trip along the M3 to Basingstoke to take on their long time local rivals the Bison (6.30pm faceoff).   The Bison only had one game in the opening weekend, a home match versus Swindon which they lost narrowly 1-2.   The Bees will be looking to put right their recent run of form in Basingstoke and get their season off and running.

On Sunday the Bees return to the Hive (6pm faceoff) to face another of their local rivals, this time Slava Koulikov and his Slough Jets.  Doors open at 5.15pm and if recent history, especially in the Berkshire Cycles Cup, is anything to go by the game is sure to be another feisty affair.   Having played each other twice already this season the teams already know each other and the Bees will be out for revenge after the loss of the Berkshire Cycles Cup challenge.

A small number of Bracknell Bees 2013/14 season tickets are still awaiting collecting and these along with your Welcome Packs and can be collected from the Supporters Club desk in the foyer pre-game this Sunday.

For those that don’t already know as well as the Supporters Club desk in the foyer there is also a Supporters Club sales kiosk at the back of Block 5 (opposite the bar) which stocks a range of merchandise including the new Bees replica Cup (Yellow) jerseys.   They also have taken delivery of scarf’s, umbrellas, thermos mugs, ice scrapers and more just in time as the weather has already started to change!  Pop along and check them out!

The 50/50 raffle and Shirt off a Back raffle both return this weekend.   Also the Player signing table returns post game too.   The Shirt Off a Back raffle this Sunday is for new Kamil Tvrdek’s shirt – straight off his back at the end of the game!   The signing table will also be manned by Kamil and he will be joined by Chris Wiggins & Lewis Turner so make sure you pop along to the family bar, above the home dressing room, after the game.

Don’t forget that the official match night programme has also undergone a bit of a revamp and “The Buzz” will be available at Saturdays game (priced at £2.50 and in full colour throughout) – make sure you pick up your copy as the new look is proving popular.

Hope to see you all there Loud & Proud!
