After mixed fortunes last weekend (a heavy defeat against Hull and a good win in Nottingham), Full 9 Yards Sponsored Blackburn Hawks are in action in their only game of this coming weekend on Sunday against Whitley Warriors. Face off will be at the usual time of 1730hrs.
Hull were just too strong for the depleted Hawks team and ran out 15-3 winners. Hawks goals came from Aaron Davies, James Royds and Petr Valusiak. However, a great performance in Nottingham saw the Hawks run riot and a 7-1 victory put some smiles back in the Hawks locker room. Hawks goals came from James Royds(2), Lee Pollitt (2)Luke Boothroyd, Petr Valusiak and a debut goal from young Ronnie Grimes.
Whitley Bay, as always will be a tough game for the Hawks but yet again they will be roared on by a large crowd as it is another school’s night at the nest. Chris Riley and his Community Project team have done another marvelous job and over 500 from various schools and community groups will be attending.
Hawks still have an outside chance of catching the Warriors in the race for a decent play-off place and a win is a must against an uncompromising opponent
