Tripp looking towards Belfast & Manchester games

Clan head coach John Tripp has called on his team to build on their two recent home wins against the Sheffield Steelers and Edinburgh Capitals.

The Clan defeated the Steelers 5-2 on Saturday and Edinburgh 7-2 on Wednesday in two high scoring games at Braehead Arena.

Tripp and the Clan’s focus now turns to this weekend’s away game to the Belfast Giants, before returning home on Sunday to face the in form Manchester Storm.

“The wins over Sheffield and Edinburgh were two important wins for the club” confirmed a happy Tripp. “We now need to use the momentum going into this weekend.

“We’re facing two very good teams, Belfast coming off the back of their Challenge Cup success and Manchester who are still in with a chance of the EIHL title.

“It’s a big test, it’s not going to be easy at all, especially a long day in Belfast and then getting back early on Sunday morning to face Manchester on Sunday.

“However we know what is at stake here, we need to remain focused on the end goal which is qualifying for the playoffs – we just need to keeping winning games like that.”
