Tigers prepare for end-of-season awards bash

Telford Tigers will honour their players during a glittering awards ceremony at the Whitehouse Hotel in Wellington on March 17th.

The event, which starts at 7.30pm, will see a host of awards handed to this year’s players and off-ice staff.

Tigers supporters are invited to attend the ceremony, with tickets costing just £12.50 for adults and £6.50 for children.

Darren Fielding, from Telford Tigers, is looking forward to giving the team a well-deserved night out.

He said: “It has been a tough year for everyone at the club, including players and staff, so we wanted to honour them in the right way.

“There will be awards that are voted for by the coaching staff, as well as awards voted for by the supporters.

“We can’t forget the volunteers who help match nights to run smoothly. They’ll also be recognised for their hard work throughout the season.

“The Whitehouse in Wellington is a fantastic venue and was the best choice to host the event.

“The staff there have all been fantastic in helping to make arrangements.”

Supporters awards will include:
Supporters’ Best Defenceman, Supporters’ Best Forward, Supporters’ Most Improved Player, Supporters’ Most Valuable Player of the year.

Team/coaching staff awards will include:
Plus/Minus, Players’ Player, Coach’s Player, Clubman Award.

Votes can be cast at home games until March 12th, or by emailing your choices to contact@telfordtigers.co.uk. Tickets can be bought at Tigers home games.
