Tigers 'Go Nuts' For Squirrel Snap
Telford Tigers mascot Roary the Tiger will have a new friend this weekend when Red Touch Media’s Snap the Squirrel arrives from the United States.
The 6ft squirrel will join Roary in Telford Shopping Centre on Saturday, between 1pm and 3pm, giving away free children’s tickets for Sunday’s game with Slough Jets.
The Tigers are owned by Red Touch Media after CEO Wayne Scholes led a takeover of the club in October, since when they have built a squad likely to challenge for honours.
Snap’s latest appearance is in response to a long-standing Facebook appeal from Tigers fans for him to join Roary in Shropshire.
Mr Scholes said: “Snap travels the world with Red Touch Media, from our headquarters in Salt Lake City to Australia, the Middle East and Europe.
“We wanted to show the Tigers fans that their club is now part of a huge family, that stretches across the globe. The supporters have been asking about Snap for weeks on social media.
