Thomas Murdy Joins The Phantoms

The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms have tonight completed their Netminding plans with the signing of Thomas Murdy for the 2013-14 EPL Season.

Murdy joins the Phantoms from the Swindon Wildcats where he has been based for the past 2 seasons. A GB International at Under 18 and Under 20′s level, 22 year old Murdy learnt the sport in the North East.

He enjoyed 3 seasons with the Whitley Bay Warriors before he moved to the Elite League Coventry Blaze in 2009. Following 2 seasons with the Blaze,  Murdy moved to Swindon.

Phantoms Head Coach Jon Kynaston commented “Thomas is a very talented netminder. We expect him to come into the team and pressure the existing netminders, as he will be looking to claim that starting spot.”

“Having 3 competent netminders will give us option this season as we look to improve out league position”
