Third Time Lucky For Chiefs

Tigers visited Leeds in their new Elland Road rink for the first time ever and opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal from Dominik Florian. But Tigers were pegged back by a goal from Joe Coulter for Leeds. Tigers regained the lead in the 3rd period with a Fin Howells goal but Leeds equalised within 2 minutes to take the game to overtime. Crucially, in the extra 5 minutes, Florian was assessed a slashing penalty which led to Leeds’ Richard Bentham winning the game whilst Leeds where on a power play.

Final Score: Leeds Chiefs 3 Hexagon Telford Tigers 2 (after overtime).
Tigers gain a point but see their lead at the top of the table cut to 5 points after nearest rivals Swindon Wildcats beat Raiders in overtime.
