Oxford City Stars have further strengthened the squad for the new campaign by re-signing experienced player Stewart Tait.
Tait, 37, formed a key part of the double winning squad last season in his first year with the Stars.
It will be his 20th season in English hockey having started his career at the Slough Jets in 1998.
The popular player is looking forward to another season at Oxpens.
He said: “The club is continuing to move in the right direction and the recruitment is strong again on and off the ice. I’m excited by the prospect of the new season and I’m looking forward to it. After what we achieved last season and after speaking to Kenny and hearing his plans it would have been hard to say no to re-signing.”
Head Coach Kenny Redmond added: “Stewart is a veteran in the league and has a wealth of experience with top teams. Hs reads the game well and can play defensively and offensively. He is a leader, has a calm influence in the dressing room and is a role model for the younger players.”
