Stars forward Kinkor selected as NIHL Wilkinson Division December Player of the Month!
Stars forward Kamil Kinkor has been selected the NIHL Wilkinson Division Player of the Month for December.
The Czech forward has bounced back from a serious leg injury in style this season, netting 24 times and assisting on a further 25 goals to give him 49 points so far this season. December saw him scoring five goals and seven assists in just three games, including a four-goal nine-point night against Lee Valley.
Stars Director Russell had this to say: “We’re all so pleased for him, everyone at the club. To see Kamil back on the ice at all this season was remarkable enough [after breaking his leg last season], but to see the performances he has put in is just incredible – especially his overtime winner against Guildford back in November which has cemented his place in Stars folklore! He’s been a really important member of the squad this season, and will continue to be as we push for promotion”.
The full list of winners is:
South 1 (Britton) – Aaron Connolly (Basingstoke Bison)
South 2 (Wilkinson) – Kamil Kinkor (Oxford City Stars)
North 1 (Moralee) – Scott McKenzie (Telford Tigers)
North 2 (Laidler) – Zack Brown (Telford Tigers 2)
Kamil will be in action this coming weekend as the Stars take on the Bracknell Hornets in a top of the table clash on Sunday night at Oxpens Road, where he’ll be hoping to continue his goalscoring form. You can get your tickets here.
