Spartans Look to Thwart Warriors Threat

Spartans are back in action this weekend with a visit up to Whitley Bay to take on the Warriors on Sunday 1st December facing off at 5.00pm in what will be a tough game.

Warriors have had the upper hand on home ice over the last few seasons, despite some good performances form Spartans and they will be confident of repeating those successes as they look to leapfrog Spartans in the league table. Going into this game on the back of two gritty performances which yielded victories against Telford & Sutton, Spartans will feel more confident that they have the necessary tools in the bag to get the job done this season; whereas on previous visits we have always been found wanting that little extra to grab a point or two. It’s all set for a good, competitive game of hockey, one that both teams will be fancying their chances of getting a result.

Just a reminder folks, if you haven’t done so already, could you please vote for our very own Ice & Slice aka Phil Holden in the British Ice Hockey Fan of the Century Award. Voting closes on Sunday at Midnight so there’s not much time left. Visit – select Phil Holden (Sheffield Spartans) from the scroll down list & fill in the relevant code before voting. You can vote more than once too, so happy voting.
