Seat treat for Tigers fans

Tigers supporters have another week to reserve their season ticket seats from last year, after the club extended the deadline until July 19th.

Telford’s double-winning success means tickets are set to be at a premium during the upcoming campaign, with the introduction of Hull Pirates to the EPL.

The club had originally placed a deadline of July 12th for fans to purchase the seats they used last season.

But a meeting with The Tigers Supporters Club will take place next week to discuss plans for next season, with the deadline having been extended beyond that.

Tigers bosses have already launched a number of initiatives to reward fans for their support last year, including a second successive freeze on headline ticket prices.

Paul Baker, Director of Red Hockey, said: “Last season was an incredible time for everybody involved with this club and I want that to continue in September.

“It is so important to have happy fans who are sitting in their first choice of seats, often alongside their friends and family. That is what makes this club so special.

“This summer has seen an unprecedented amount of interest in season tickets. To give our long-term supporters a chance to retain their seats, we have decided to extend the deadline to reserve last year’s seats by a week.

“Working with The Tigers Supporters Club is very important everyone involved with this club. They are the reason why The Tigers exist and are vital to the smooth running of match nights in particular.

“Even if fans don’t manage to reserve their season ticket seats from last season, there will still be plenty of great places left in the stands. We believe we have one of the best rinks in the EPL, in terms of watching great ice hockey.”

The club has also introduced a brand-new VIP season ticket, costing £425, which includes a string of special offers and benefits for holders.

Take-up on those tickets has also been brisk, with many supporters taking advantage of the option to pay by direct debit.

That method is also available for fans purchasing standard season tickets, as club bosses look to help as many people as possible.

Mr Baker added: “We know that paying for a season ticket in one go can sometimes be difficult, especially when there are several family members included. That is why we are offering direct debit payments.

“The fans are by far the most important part of this club. We want to make sure they are happy and ready to roar The Tigers on to more silverware!”

* Season tickets cost £425 for the VIP option, and £290 for the standard adult option. Family season tickets, which include two adults and two children, cost £645. Children and OAPs cost £135 per season.
