Salem Looking For Injury Return
Telford Tigers forward Nathan Salem is determined to make a return to action this weekend – but he admitted to struggling with orders to take it easy in training.
The 22-year-old has been missing from the Telford line-up after straining ligaments in his shoulder last month.
He returned to full training on Tuesday, in a bid to be fit for this weekend’s games against EPL title hopefuls Milton Keynes Lightning.
But with fitness crucial at this stage of the season, Salem has been told by club doctors to take it easy during training.
He said: “It is hard not to go all out on the ice, but my shoulder is starting to feel better. It pulled a bit at times, so of course I still have to slow down.
“I am hoping to come back this weekend, although the last thing I want is to come back too soon and make my shoulder worse.
“Any player will tell you that when you’re in training, or playing a match, it is so easy to forget about an injury.”
