Russell excited with Clan recruitment progress

Braehead Clan head coach Pete Russell visited Glasgow this week as preparations continued for the 2018/19 season.

Russell, who is now in Denmark at the IIHF World Championships, met with Hockey & Operations Director Gareth Chalmers to go through plans for the exciting new season.
“It was great to get up to Glasgow this week and finalise my exciting plans for the new season” said the new Clan coach.
“Obviously being based in the UK, it’s certainly an advantage being able to get up to Scotland and talk face to face rather than via telephone calls and email.
“I provided updates on how recruitment is progressing, my plans for training camp, while also meeting a number of our partner organisations.
“I am really happy with the roster I am putting together and it’s one I am sure the Purple Army will get very excited about once it hits the ice in August.”
