RIP Harold "Pep" Young
It is with much sadness that the Capitals bring the news that Harold “Pep” Young passed away last night in his sleep. Harold was well know around the rinks of Scotland.
Harold was a Canadian born hockey player who played for the Montreal Canadiens before coming to the UK and joined various London based teams. He eventually moved to Scotland and played with the Flyers for many years after meeting and marrying a local figure skating champion. “Pep” was responsible for co-forming the Kirkcaldy Kestrals and he has been ever present at both Murrayfield and Fife rinks for many years.
The Capitals will hold a minutes silence to show their respect at the game on Sunday where they, rather ironically, will be facing the Flyers.
