Remembrance Sunday falls on 11 November this year and is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

Full 9 Yards sponsored Blackburn Hawks have a home game on Remembrance Sunday against Nottingham Lions and will, like others, remember our fallen in time honoured fashion. There is an extra significance this year as it is the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the hostilities between the Allies of World War 1 and the German Empire on the Western Front.

Hawks are pleased to announce free entry to the game for all serving personnel, veterans and emergency services staff ( Fire, Police and Ambulance) on production of I.D.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We shall remember them”

Further details will be published in due course.
