Redmond To Stay With Stars
Kenny Redmond has signed a new contact to stay on as Head Coach at Oxford City Stars.
The news comes after the club announced a new Board of Scott Gough, Jo Mundy and Greig Box Turnbull at the weekend.
Kenny who led the club to the league and cup double last season had no hesitation in signing up for another year.
He said: “I’ve enjoyed my time at Oxford and am encouraged by the vision for the future.
“I really enjoyed last season, it’s a special club and I am fully behind Scott and the guys.
“Everyone is looking forward to the new season and progressing the club in all areas.
“It’s important we continue to grow, and I am encouraged by the plans to work with the juniors on a Stars’ development pathway to produce local players of the future.”
Redmond is confident he will retain the nucleus of the squad from last season.
“I’ve spoken to most of the guys and had a lot of very positive conversations and fans should see signings come in over the next few weeks.”
Scott Gough added: “Kenny is a key part of our management team, he is highly experienced and respected and we work well together. Gaining Kenny’s commitment to the club was right at the top of our priority list and we’re now working intensively on our plans for next season and beyond.”
