After managing 29 goal in the first 3 games, the Dragons have offensively looked very dangerous but it was Widnes Wilds 5 goals scored against the Dragons two weeks ago that have caused head coach Steve Fellows the most concern. “We shouldn’t be conceding 5 goals at home to any team, so it was something we’ve worked very hard on in training following the Widnes game” said Fellows.
Fellows was more than pleased with his sides performance during last weeks Hull game. “We scored some great goals last week against the Stingrays, the Söderberg, Kippin and Parsons line picked up something like 15 points between then but it was the hard work from the forwards Defensively that pleased me the most. The likes of James (Parsons) and Si (Furnival) worked really hard to back check, as did the rest of the forwards, i think we were all a little disappointed to concede the one goal”.
Fellows is looking forward to again facing the Wild and hopes this time to be defensively stronger “Were all looking forward to this weekends game, 2 weeks ago it was a bit of the unknown but now we’ve played them were better prepared, fitter and plenty of goals under our belt. The lads know that we need to put in 100% into every game and if we do that i’m sure we’ll be 2 points better off after Sundays game”.
