PREVIEW: Deeside Dragons
The Wild will travel to Deeside for their second game against the table toppers.
Having scored 29 goals within their first 3 games Deeside have started the season showing they have the goals and the players to again give a solid push for the league title. With 2 players (not yet announced…) said to have left the Den, the Dragons are said to be bringing in 2 more, one which has been announced as Jordan Bannon.
Widnes Wild will be looking to right the wrongs of 2 weeks ago by trying to keep it tighter in defence, which will be boosted by the return of Calum Ruddick, and fellow D-Man Dan Etherington making his debut appearance for the Wild giving an extra 2 Defensive minded players than the previous fixture.
Despite leaking the 9 goals in the first game, the Wild showed they had goals within the team and came away with a disappointed feeling knowing there were chances where they could have taken at least 1 point away from the game.
The only players we currently expect to not be icing is Tom Ratcliffe due to suspension, Tom will be back for the following fixture on the 5th October when we travel to Sheffield Senators.
We’re hoping to have a strong away following again for this trip to Deeside, £5 admission with a 18:40pm Face-Off.
