Phantoms Tom Carlon Not Returning

The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms have this morning announced that Tom Carlon won;t be returning to the Cambridgeshire club for the 2013-14 season.

Carlon was one of the top British point scorers for the Phantoms last season with 21 goals and 33 assists during the regular season. Originally signed in 2009, Carlon enjoyed 3 1/2 seasons at the club, with a short spell at the Slough Jets during the 2011-12 season.

Speaking on Tuesday Carlon had this message to the Phantoms supporters  “I’d just like to say a massive thank you for having me. My teammates over the last few seasons have been awesome, and the fans have been incredibly supportive.

‘I really appreciate the support they’ve given the team and myself in my time at the club, and I wish everyone all the best.’

Head Coach, Jon Kynaston, commented ‘It’s a blow to lose Tom.  It was a difficult decision for him and we were discussing with Tom throughout.

‘He really enjoys his hockey here in Peterborough but in the end the ability to drastically reduce travelling cost and time was a major factor for him. I wish him all the best.’
