Phantoms Add To Off Ice Team

The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce and welcome Lee Elias as Game Operations and Content Production Manager. Lee’s responsibilities include improving the match night and fan experience, working with PhanTV and to create new engaging content, maximizing the team’s social media efforts, and other special projects.

Lee’s credentials are rooted in sports, marketing and management. He is a graduate of Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey with a B.A. in Broadcasting and is a postgraduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a M.S. in Sports Management.

Some of Lee’s sports work experiences includes serving the National Hockey League as the Coordinator of the NHL Network during its first season in the USA. During that time he also worked as General Manager and Head Coach of the Montclair State University (New Jersey) Ice Hockey team. Lee also worked as a Camera Director for the New York Rangers and New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Beyond that, he served as a Production Specialist with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (MLB – Cincinnati Reds AA) during their inaugural season and as Director of Broadcast Operations for NJPowerRanking where he managed on-air operations for all high school hockey broadcasts.

Lee has also played hockey at competitive levels having been a rookie prospect with the Huntsville Havoc (Southern Professional Hockey League – SPHL) and was also invited to skate with some of the New Jersey Devils during the 2005 NHL lockout. Prior to that, Lee played four years for Montclair State University and was a major part of the teams 2003 Mid Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) championship season.

In addition to his sports experience, in 2010 Lee was hired by LocalEdge, a Division of Hearst Media Services as a Digital Media Consultant. In that role, he helped small-to-medium sized businesses create digital plans focusing on search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media marketing, text marketing, behavioral targeting, websites and mobile marketing among other solutions.

After leading LocalEdge in client acquisition and sales in his first year with the company he was promoted to Multi-Media Training Manager where he was tasked with the development of new consultants, assisting them with product development, marketing, product expertise and public speaking.

Lee currently resides in Newmarket with his wife Janet, who is a Physician in the U.S. Air Force, their two dogs Philly and Chewy and his cat Yoda. The couple is expecting their first child in early 2014.
