Head Coach, Scott McKenzie, is delighted to announce that Pavel Valeš, originally from the Czech Republic, has re-signed for Widnes Wild for his 2nd season.

The 22 year old d-man who made 28 appearances for Wild last season is the head coach’s latest signing. He says he’s delighted to be back at Wild for what he hopes to be another fantastic season.

Here’s what Pavel had to say about the news;

‘I really enjoyed my 1st season with Widnes Wild. They have a great bunch of players as well as outstanding support from fans at every home game.’

‘I’m a very smart player that is quick on the ice. I also have a lot of skills and qualities that I will be looking to bring to the team.’

‘I’m looking forward to working with Scott and all the players next year. We will be 100% stronger than last year, guaranteed.’

Pavel had this message for the fans;

‘The support last year was incredible. It means a lot to myself and the players that the fans stick by us no matter what.’

‘Next year I would appreciate it if the fans continued that support and in return we can give them something worth shouting for.’

This is what head coach Scott McKenzie had to say about it;

‘Pavel is a great skater that can make a good first pass, but also has a great deal of skill.’

‘He will be very useful on the PP and I can see him being a very important player for us this coming season.’

‘I like Pavel’s attitude as he is always smiling and fits in great in the changing room. It is great to have him onboard with us this season.’
