Paul Adey Proud Of Giants Comeback

Stena Line Belfast Giants Head Coach Paul Adey has overseen the organisation streak to 16 straight Elite League wins and 14 straight wins in the Erhardt Conference as the Champions show no sign of letting up with the Challenge Cup Final and Playoffs still to come. On Friday night at the Odyssey Arena, the Giants staged a dramatic comeback to win 5-4 against the Cardiff Devils after trailing 4-2 with ten minuets remaining.

“4-2 down, it wasn’t looking too good!” said Adey, “But these guys find ways to win games, even on a night when we weren’t at our sharpest.”

“Our guys have a lot of pride in their game and in what they want to accomplish this year. There’s something about this team that is special – you have to admire that.”

“We have five different goalscorers tonight. Cody Brookwell has been great all year for us and has been one of the top defence men in the league. I also thought Kevin Phillips played well tonight and could have earned the Man of the Match Award.”
