Patto Looking To Right Some Wrongs
BILLINGHAM STARS continue their summer squad building with the re-signing of towering defenseman Jamie Pattison.
29-year-old Pattison is well-known to the Billingham faithful having spent almost his entire career in either a Bombers or a Stars jersey. Last season saw Jamie sidelined for a long spell after injuring his shoulder against Sheffield Steeldogs last November, returning in time to help the Stars reach the play-off final.
Jamie will once again pull on the number 22 shirt, and is as motivated as ever as he and his teammates go for silverware:
“I feel I started last season strongly and was playing some of the best hockey I had for a number of years, so to miss the majority of the season through injury and work commitments was tough. I feel I still have a lot to offer this club otherwise I wouldn’t bother pulling on the jersey! The play-offs cast a slight shadow over the summer and we should be looking to right a few wrongs this season. The League has once again stepped up and is looking like being very competitive, but if we can keep the same core of players and maybe add one or two then we should be aiming for silverware! Especially if the very faithful Stars fans get behind us!!”
Keep watching the site and Stars social media for breaking news this week as more signings are announced, plus season ticket information.
