Oxford City Stars weekend preview
Bracknell Hornets vs Oxford City Stars
Saturday 7th January 2017
John Nike Leisure Sport Complex
The NIHL S1 table heading into the weekend looks like this:
|4||Oxford City Stars||16||7||1||8||71||73||-2||237||15|
|6||Milton Keynes Thunder||15||5||2||8||54||71||-17||258||12|
Darren Elliott returns to the squad following a 2 month lay-off due to a leg injury, meaning the Stars are at full strength heading into the weekend.
Bracknell have had a tough first half of the season which sees them rock bottom of the NIHL S1 table, but that doesn’t represent a true reflection of their quality, as we saw in the BBO Cup earlier this season when they came to Oxpens Road and recorded a 6-2 win against the Stars.
Players to look out for include the Ealey-Newman brothers (Ben and Josh), and also Ondrej Pekarik, all of who made the move from Oxford to Bracknell earlier this season, and all of whom are dangerous going forward and on their day have the ability to hurt any team in the league.
