Own A Piece Of Signed Giants Memorabilia This Saturday

On Saturday night post-game in McCools, Stena Line Belfast Giants defenceman Calvin Elfring will auction off a signed pair of his game worn skates and three game used sticks – signed by the entire Elite League championship winning team (pictured below) and all for good causes close to Elfring’s heart. All proceeds from the auction in McCools that will take place immediately after Saturday’s game against the Nottingham Panthers will go to Diabetes UK and ‘Hockey Saves’ – a charity that supports Soldiers from the USA.

Inside the first year of Hockey Saves, they have been able to provide around 300 Soldiers and their family members with ice time, tickets to live games, sent several shirts & care packages to Hockey playing Troops currently in Afghanistan. A few Soldiers have met some of their favourite NHL teams and designed their own jerseys made by the NHL. Hockey Saves has received plenty of attention and generous contributions over the past few months, but it has also served to inspire civilians and demonstrate the power of a sport that so many people love.

Make sure to get to McCools in the Odyssey Arena right after Saturday’s clash with the Nottingham Panthers for your chance to win an exclusive item of Giants memorabilia in support of Diabetes UK and Hockey Saves!

For more information on ‘Hockey Saves’ you can visit their official website or read this article about the charity that featured on NHL.com.
