Northwest Communities Swoop to the Nest

As part of Chris Riley’s community project Full 9 Yards sponsored Blackburn Hawks are pleased to announce that a number of communities from the North West will be attending the game on Sunday against Solihull Barons.

Over 300 tickets have been sold through community work and the following organisations will be attending with their families:

Orrell Red Triangle Cricket Club

St Matthews Primary School

St Annes Primary School

St Thomas’s Primary School

St Pauls Hoddlesden Primary School

Avondale Primary School

Blackburn College

As part of the evening there will be a junior section demonstration on the ice during the 1st period break. There will be a chance to “Shoot the puck”, run by the junior section and will take place on the balcony during the second period. 50p for 3 shots with all monies going to the junior section.

All the usual competitions and draws will take place – ChuckaPuck, Shirt of the Back, 50/50 draw.

We are expecting large groups to attend the game and they will be seated in blocks 2 and 3. Just a little heads up for the fans that usually sit there – It is going to be busy!

Let’s all get our heads, hands and voices together an make the atmosphere one to remember.

Coach Steve Duncombe commented, “It is great to see this sort of initiative at the club. The team love it when there is a loud, proud atmosphere at a game and it definitely makes a difference. Enjoy the game and we will be doing our best to give you a win.”
