No Easy Games As Head Coach Calls For Focus
Telford Tigers have been warned that “no teams are easy” ahead of Saturday’s trip to crisis-hit side Slough Jets.
A succession of departures – including Dan Scott and Dan Davies to the Tigers – have weakened Slough over recent weeks.
Telford’s clash with the Berkshire outfit comes just 24 hours before Joe Miller’s home debut against former side Basingstoke Bison (Sunday, 5:30pm).
The Jets are also reeling from the loss of coach Slava Kulikov, but Tigers coach Tom Watkins is refusing to take Saturday’s encounter lightly.
He said: “We definitely won’t be seeing them as easy, as that is when teams usually fall over.
“We will adopt the same focus on hard work and concentration as any game. No teams are easy in this league.
“They have still got some very good players and are extremely dangerous offensively. They are still a big threat.”
