BIH LogoSolway Sharks won their first silverware of the season after securing the Northern Cup with a 6-3 home victory over Whitley Warriors.

Struan Tonnar (2) led the scoring for the Sharks who are still on course for the Moralee D1 treble.

Dennis Bostrom bagged a hat-trick for Billingham Stars as they cemented their grip on second place in the league with a 5-3 home success over Sutton Sting.

Jozef Istocy scored twice for Blackburn Hawks in their 5-3 home victory against Telford Tigers NIHL, while Deeside Dragons triumphed 5-4 at home to Solihull Barons.

Chelmsford Chieftains extended their lead at the top of NIHL1 South to nine points after picking up a pair of victories.

Danny Hammond (3) and Juraj Huska (3) topped the scoring in Chieftains’ 12-3 win at home to Solent Devils and the league leaders made it a four point weekend with a 3-1 success at MK Thunder.

Adam Rehak’s thunderbolt secured a 3-2 victory for Invicta Dynamos at home to London Raiders.

Streatham IHC recorded two victories in their weekend double-header against Bracknell Hornets, winning 3-1 on the road and 4-3 back on home ice.

Laidler D2 promotion chasers Blackburn Eagles cruised to an 11-2 win at Coventry Blaze NIHL – Michal Fico (2) and Andrew Duxbury (2) were amongst their scorers.

Nick Manning’s late goal secured a 4-3 success for Widnes Wild on home ice against Sheffield Senators.

Cade King (2) topped the scoring for Altrincham Aces in their 6-3 victory at Bradford Bulldogs, while Nottingham Lions‘ top four hopes were dealt a blow as they crashed 7-2 at home to Hull Jets.

In D2S, Cardiff Fire retained their unbeaten record with an 8-2 success at Swindon Wildcats NIHL.

Fire also progressed through to the semi-final of the cup win a 9-2 home victory over Haringey Racers – Alan Armour (3) led their scoring.

Peterborough Islanders maintained their 100% league record with a 10-3 success against Invicta Mustangs, while Lee Valley Lions won 6-4 at home to Chelmsford Warriors.
