NEWS: latest action from the EIHA Womens Leagues with IH4Girls

In the Elite League, Bracknell Queen Bees rebounded from their first loss of the season last week with a 10-0 success at Swindon Topcats.  Leanne Ganney (3+2) lead all scorers.

Solihull Vixens moved clear in third place after an 8-2 win at Sheffield Shadows.  Katie Henry scored four goals, GB University captain Saffron Allen added three assists.

Guildford Lightning hold on to second place with an 11-1 home win over Kingston Diamonds.  Louise Adams netted a hat-trick with Alison Emery adding a brace.

Premier League leaders Chelmsford Cobras are still out in front but they had to settle for a 4-4 draw at Widnes Wild.  Tereza Plankova’s hat-trick had put the Cobras 4-2 up early in the final period, but Widnes battled back and tied the game 78 seconds from time through Leen De Decker.

Streatham Storm are just two points behind with a game in hand, and the two sides meet in Chelmsford on the final day of the season.  Storm overwhelmed Slough Phantoms 13-0 on Sunday with Fiona King rolling back the years with an impressive 5+1 haul.

In Division 1, Telford Wrekin Raiders moved second in D1 North after a convincing win at Sheffield Shadows.  Michelle Madziak tallied 6+3 on the night.

Cardiff Comets moved to the top of D1 South – Sam Zala’s double helped them to a 4-2 win at Streatham Storm.

Basingstoke Bison Ladies won 4-1 at Solent Amazons to keep up the pressure on the leaders.  Peri Edmiston and Aniko Gaal each scored twice for Bison.

There was action in the Girls U16 leagues too with Sheffield Shadows having seven different goalscorers in their 9-3 success against Scotland Solway Girls.  Sophie Campbell hit a hat-trick in the losing effort for Scotland, Chloe Riley (2+1) lead the scoring for Sheffield.

Swindon Top Kittens maintained their challenge to Bracknell with a 5-3 win at Haringey – Jessica Sprules scored twice for Swindon.

MK Storm‘s home game with Bracknell Ice Bees was abandoned in the 20th minute with Ice Bees leading 3-0 after a serious player injury required an ambulance to attend the rink.
