New Signing Scott Cooper Looking Forward to New Season

The YKK Widnes Wild are pleased to announce a new signing in the shape of 27 year old defenceman Scott Cooper who has a wealth of experience at NIHL leavel with several different teams.

He played his junior hockey with the Billingham Bombers and Newcastle Vipers and played ENL hockey with the Vipers and then Slough Jets in NIHL South.

He has played the last four seasons in the NIHL Moralee Division notching up two seasons with Whitley Warriors, and one with Billingham Stars before spending last season with Solway Sharks, playing over 160 league and cup games at ENL / NIHL level in total.

Talking about his move to Widnes, Scott said:

“I have heard nothing but good things about the club and the people involved including the fans. After speaking with Ollie over the summer it seemed like the perfect fit for me with work etc. I can’t wait to get started and with the team that’s being put together I’m sure we will be pushing for that promotion spot.”

Scott will be wearing the number 14 shirt for the Wild and his home, away and warm-up shirts are available to own ‘n’ loan here.
