New player signing turns Pollitt-ical…

Blackburn Hawks would like to announce that Lee Pollitt is joing Blackburn Hawks for the new season.

Lee started playing Ice Hockey for the Manchester Phoenix U16 team in 2010, and since then has gone on to play for the Trafford Metro’s, Manchester Minotaurs and Widnes Wild.

“I’ve enjoyed playing against the Hawks for the past fews years and I was really pleased and excited when Budzie and Dangy got in touch with me to give me the opportunity to play for the Hawks this year. It’s a great opportunity at this point in my hockey career and I hope to really contribute to the teams success.” Said Lee.

I’ve always enjoyed turning up to play at Blackburn the atmosphere can be electric. Its a great arena and a great hockey town.”

Last Season, Lee scored an impressive 27 goals for Widnes Wild, and we’re looking forward to him slotting right into the team.

“Lee is a young skilful forward and we are pleased to have him joining us at Blackburn. We identified certain targets early on in the off season and Lee was high on our list after doing our research. He will bring a lot of energy, quick hands and a keen eye for goal. We will be looking to help him develop as a player and in return we are confident Lee will help contribute in the points department.
Lee had other options to where he could have played this year and we are extremely pleased he chose Blackburn to further enhance his existing hockey talents!”
said coach MacKriel.

We hope you’ll all give Lee a warm welcome to the team this season!
