New partnership with Oxford Golf Club

Originally designed in 1922 by legendary golf course architect Harry Colt, Oxford Gold Club is available to golfers of all standards, and a warm welcome is extended to both members and visitors alike. The course offers stunning views of historic Oxford and its beautiful surrounding countryside, and although situated just 2 miles from the city centre visitors to the course will experience all the tranquillity of being deep in the countryside.

Stars Director Russell Shrives said, “We’re always looking to expand our presence across the county, and bring in fans of other sports to watch our games. This partnership not only better exposes us to the golfing community, but also brings us closer to one of the key elements of Oxford’s sporting heritage. It is also a positive move forward in the development of the Oxfordshire United alliance. I might even pop down for a round or 2 myself”.

Stephen Nicholson, General Manager of Oxford Golf Club said, “Oxford Golf Club is the oldest serving golf course in Oxfordshire, yet many people don’t even realise we exist. By forming partnerships with local sports clubs and businesses we are aligning our heritage and forward thinking brand to those of our partners and expanding our presence and profile in an attempt to help ‘grow the game’. Working with like-minded partners like Oxford City Stars, it represents a win-win for both clubs and I am sure our members will enjoy making the most of what this partnership has to offer”.

The reciprocal arrangement will mean great offers will be available enabling Oxford Golf Club member to enjoy discounts on Oxford City Stars tickets, and Oxford City Stars reward club members (news on that coming soon!) to enjoy similar discounts when playing at Oxford Golf Club.
