18-year-old Emerson saw a good deal of ice time last season as he stepped up to the senior squad. The coaches faith was repaid as Jack contributed a brace of goals, including a cracker of a shot to beat Mark Turnbull as the Stars trounced Whitley back in January. Jack will ice for both the seniors and the new Under 20s side, giving him even more opportunities to improve his game.

Jack, who will once again pull on the number 23 jersey, is relishing the chance to push himself at both levels:

“The ice time I got last season gave me a chance to build up my experience and gain more confidence playing in an adult league. I enjoyed getting on and trying to prove that I am able to become a valuable member of the team. Last season was tough as we had strong competitors such as Blackburn which made it hard to succeed, but we did really well to get as far as we did.

I think that the new season will be just as tough, if not more so, but the introduction of a few new players will give us the boost that we need to secure a higher position than last time around. Next season for me will be a stepping stone to becoming a more skilful and faster player, with the introduction of the under 20s league I believe this will give me a lot more ice time to improve myself and apply what I have already learnt. I am looking forward to what next season brings and hope to see us do well.”

As ever we are asking for your help on all fronts ahead of the new season – sponsors, investment, game day volunteers, even just ideas – again if you feel you have something to offer, contact Allen on the same email as above.
