McKenzie looks to get important win over Edinburgh

Bari McKenzie is looking forward to facing his former team, the Edinburgh Capitals, when they come to Braehead Arena this Wednesday (7:30pm face-off).

The Braehead Clan forward has called on his team-mates to build on their impressive win over the Sheffield Steelers, with another win on home ice.

While the Capitals currently sit bottom of the EIHL with only 11 points, McKenzie has reiterated today that it’s another very important game in the club’s playoff push.

“We were delighted to come away with a big win against Sheffield at the weekend” confirmed the Scottish forward. “It’s now important we build on that.

“The atmosphere in the Arena was electric on Saturday night, the Purple Army certainly gave us that extra spark to come away with a big win.

“With Coventry and Dundee right behind us, the game against Edinburgh is huge for us. The whole club is focused on getting the two points.

“With the Purple Army behind us once again we can come away with an import victory as we look stay in 8th place with only 7 games left in the regular season.”
