Manchester Storm announce pre-season action

One of the biggest ice hockey Super League rivalries is revived for a preseason challenge game when Manchester Storm meet Nottingham Panthers at their home in Altrincham on August 29th.

This exciting fixture was agreed yesterday during a lengthy Elite League fixtures meeting where the ten clubs thrashed out the forthcoming seasons fixtures. The Storms league and cup fixtures will be announced to the general public as soon as the other teams have confirmed venue availability.

As well as playing the Panthers on the 29th Storm will also play the Sheffield Steelers at Silver Blades Altrincham on the 2nd September.

Storm’s Director Mark Johnson commented

“This is fantastic news for ice hockey in the North West. Manchester Storm were one of the most successful teams in the Super League days and we intend to revive high quality ice hockey action for fans in Manchester and the North West of England this season”.

“The Manchester Storm are going to set new standards in ice hockey both on and off the ice and we look forward to welcoming all the Elite teams to Altrincham”.
