Kelman Joins Giants Legends Squad For Testimonial

The Belfast Giants have announced one of their final signings ahead of Tuesday’s game against the current Stena Line Belfast Giants side at the Odyssey Arena. Current Giants General Manager Todd Kelman will lace up his skates once more and join up with ex-teammates as the Giants legends return to the Odyssey Arena ice – face-off 7.30pm.

Always leaving the crowd wanting more was his style and after retiring far too early to take up a front office role, he’s back, Number 44, Todd “Killer” Kelman is to once again patrol Blue-line for the Rob Stewart Testimonial on Tuesday 18th February! Kelman has served the Belfast Giants like few others, both on and off the ice. He arrived in Belfast alongside Rob Stewart, having played with him in the previous seasons ISL, another one of the Bracknell championship winning side. A 6th round draft pick with St Louis rubber stamped his credentials and eight seasons on the Odyssey ice witnessed Kelman carve out a career where his signature poke-check, soft hands and tenacity made him a fan favourite. A winner of multiple championships, he eventually hung up the skates but stayed in the building, swapping the Giants uniform for a stylish suit. That however did not diminish the totemic desire to deliver success. Todd has won every trophy on offer in his time in the UK both on and off the ice, almost 850 game nights under his belt with Belfast and there’s not too many D Men with an NIC Hat Trick on their CV, that is why his Number 44 jersey hangs alongside Rob Stewarts Number 16 at the East End of The O.

Todd join the list of Legends that includes Dave Whistle, Paxton Schulte, Kevin Riehl, Steve Thornton, Colin Ward, Curtis Huppe, Jason Bowen, Graeme Walton, Jeff Hoad, Mark Cavallin, Shane Johnson, Paul Sample, Leigh Jamieson, Nathan Craze, Colin Shields, Rob Sandrock and Craig Peacock! Don’t miss out – fans can purchase tickets for Rob Stewart’s Testimonial from the Odyssey Arena Box Office in person, by calling (028) 9073 9074 or online at Ticketmaster.
