Keefe ‘Sends A Message’ During Win Over Devils

Stena Line Belfast Giants Captain Adam Keefe has said that he was “sending a message” when he dropped the gloves with Brad Plumton of the Cardiff Devils on Sunday. The Giants went on to win the game 2-1 at the Odyssey Arena and Adam Keefe wanted to make sure, on his return from suspension, that his team were not going to be picked on by their opponents:

“I was just sending a message that we are not going to be pushed around. I think last night (Saturday) we say them (Cardiff) come out and try to push our guys around and intimidate them into not playing well – not that I think it worked. I wanted to come in and bring a physical presence early and make it known early that it’s not going to be that way tonight and going forward.”
