JLMC: Slough Junior Jets begin search for new Head Coach
With Ben Pitchley leaving the Slough Junior Jets at the end of May, we are now looking for expressions of interest for the Head Coach position.
The following skill sets are a must, for this demanding and often quite stressful role.
Has to be a level 2, preferably a level 3 EIHA registered coach, with both a valid DBS and first aid certificate.
Has to have a proven track record for player development, and an understanding of club policies and procedures.
Has to be able to see the “bigger picture” of Slough Junior Jets Ice Hockey Club.
Has to be able to act accordingly and at all time professional, even in difficult circumstances.
Has to have strong leadership traits and be able to communicate with all levels within the Club/Conference/National team programme and EIHA infrastructure.
Has to be available for both training evening a week and games at weekend, including coaching an age group within the club.
Has to have strong IT skills, including email, word documents and excel spreadsheets.
Above all, this person has to be a role model to all players that they come into contact with, should the be successful at the interview stage.
