JLMC: England goalie coach joins Maximum Stride clinic
May 17, 2017
England goalie coach Euan King has confirmed he will be joining the coaching team on the JLMC’s Maximum Stride hockey clinic that will take place in the last week of June.
The intensive skill development and improvement programme will be delivered over 3 day sessions at Ice Sheffield on Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th June 2017 and Euan will be working with the goaltender group on all three days.
The format of the programme will follow the Maximum Stride Development model created by former Sheffield prodigy Danny Wood who graduated from the No. 1 hockey academy in the United States – Shattuck St Mary. Wood is a former Conference, England, Great Britain & Sheffield Steelers player.
Announcing the programme yesterday, the JLMC is aiming this programme at players aged 16 and over who are looking to kick-start their 2017/18 season with a highly demanding and intensive summer programme. Each day the players will spend time in the gym, on the ice and will receive one-2-one coaching by some of the best coaches at this age group. Places are extremely limited and we expect to have a 1:6 coach/player ratio so players can expect very detailed tuition, correction and feedback.
There are 4 groups planned with 6 players in each group:
Each group will receive role specific skill analysis, feedback and coaching with the sole aim being to improve skills and performance as well as provide a development plan that the players can follow through the summer.
The draft schedule is:
10:00 Off-ice analysis and conditioning
12:00 Feedback and pre-ice briefing
12:45 Ice session
15:00 De-brief and feedback
15:30 End of Day
Any player wishing to register interest in this programme is invited to visit the Clinic Registration page on the JLMC’s TeamApp page here: https://eihajlmc.teamapp.com/events/3306896
Cost will be in the order of £75 per day which will include breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks and a T-shirt.
