Jarrett Takes Man Of The Match With Five Assists

Stena Line Belfast Giants defenceman Cole Jarrett played his part in no less than five goals in Tuesday’s 7-0 home win over the Fife Flyers in the Challenge Cup Semi-Final. Jarrett was deservedly awarded the Man of the Match award for the Giants as he helped his side advance to the Semi-Final stage against the Nottingham Panthers thanks to five assists in a 10-3 aggregate scoreline.

“We came out ready to go,” said Jarrett, speaking post-game with Simon Kitchen – A View From The Bridge.

“We know we can overwhelm teams and we are pleased our gameplan worked. We took the game to them and we kept it going for 60 minutes.”

Jarrett unselfishly deflected the praise from himself onto netminder Jackson Whistle and his shutout performance,

“Credit to everyone tonight, though especially Jackson Whistle who made some big saves for us tonight and helped keep our momentum going.”

Cole Jarrett pinpointed the Giants gameplay as the key to the team’s Quarter Final success and believes that he and his teammates are stringing together a high level of performances on a more consistent basis,

“We feel that we are as good as anybody in this league when we stick to our game plan.”

Tickets for the Giants next home games, this Friday and Saturday against the Nottingham Panthers, are on sale now online from Ticketmaster as well as all Ticketmaster Outlets and the Arena Box Office – either in person or by calling 028 9073 9074.
