It’s Play-Off Time !

With the League campaign now complete, the DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms now turn their attention to the Play-Offs which start this weekend. The Phantoms face the Guildford Flames in the quarter finals, with the winner progressing to the Semi-Finals in Coventry next weekend.

Phantoms will be missing Lewis Hook, Jordan Cownie, Alex Whyte and Declan Balmer, all of whom are in Estonia withthe Great Britain Under 18′s at the IIHF World Championships. Also missing is Head Coach Jon Kynaston, who is the Assistant Coach fr the GB U18′s. Before he flew out Jon had the following message for the Phantoms fans…

‘I would like to say a huge thank you to you, the Phantoms fans, for all of your support over the season. We all see, hear and greatly appreciate it.

‘Give the team your best support over the play off weekend, as you always do, and help give the team that extra man advantage that your support provides.

‘I am really frustrated not to be here for the weekend, a huge part of me doesn’t want to go away, but I know the team is in good hands with Steve and Lewis.

‘Lets hope I see you all at Coventry next weekend.’

Bob Hillier spoke to Jon, along with this weekends head Coach Stevie Johnson on Thursday night to get their view on the play-offs. He also had a chat with Captain Jeff Glowa and Jozef Sladok, who makes his return from injury this weekend for the play-offs.
