In The ‘Niks’ of Time

We are
delighted to announce that fan favourite, Latvian netminder Niks
Trapans will be returning the the Hawks’ roster for his fourth

who is British trained, hence not classed as an import, spent the
junior part of his hockey career with the Haringey Racers and the Lee
Valley Lions before making his move to sign for the Hawks. He has
been invaluable to the club, taking part in Chris Riley’s community
work and also helping train the youngsters.

Coach James Neil commented:

couldn’t be happier to get Traps back for the upcoming season. It
gives us two fantastic young goalies that I can both trust and rely
on. What I like about Traps is that he cares, wants to get better
and just loves to win. Things are all coming together now for the
new season and Traps is another important piece of the jigsaw.

spoke of his decision to return to the 19/20 roster:

I’m glad
to be back for another season at Hawks and can’t wait to get the
season started with the boys. I’m excited to see how the new league

sure that we will be fighting for the top spots this year.
